Check radio and television stations in the area of the training for an announcement of facility closures or check the area’s local television station’s website for closure announcements. Whenever possible, cancellation announcements will be posted to the “Latest News” section of the MiBLSi website homepage.
Regional Training Inclement Weather Policy
A regional training will be cancelled only if the training facility is closed due to inclement weather. However, if your school/district is closed, or if weather conditions prohibit safe travel, please contact your region’s MiBLSi Secretary upon return to school/work.
Statewide Event Inclement Weather Policy
A Statewide Event, such as a conference or statewide training, will be cancelled due to inclement weather only if the training venue is closed. If a Statewide Event is cancelled due to inclement weather, every attempt will be made to reschedule and your registration fee will be applied to the rescheduled date. Any travel expenses that may have been incurred cannot be refunded. If the event is held, but weather conditions prohibit your safe travel so you are unable to attend, we unfortunately cannot refund your registration fee.
