The building principal is probably the most influential person in providing direction and promoting the success of the schoolwide project. A strong principal does not ensure success, however, the lack of strong principal leadership is sure to reduce the likelihood of successful schoolwide implementation of the project. The building principal creates and enhances a system of support for staff implementation activities through securing resources, acknowledging success, and demonstrating priority/visibility of the program. The principal is a critical member of the Building Leadership Team.
