Michigan’s Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative (MiBLSi) provides supports to schools implementing schoolwide behavior and reading programs. Districts wanting to receive MiBLSi supports must go though an application process. There is a limit to the number of applicants that get approved for the MiBLSi grant. To receive supports from the MiBLSi grant, there must be multiple schools within a geographical region or several schools within an intermediate school district (ISD) applying together to help support sustainability. Applicants must document support from key staff members, at the ISD and local district level, along with 80 percent staff support within a building in favor of implementing the MiBLSi grant within their school. The application for MiBLSi is due May 1, 2009 to receive supports in the 2009-2010 school year.
