Michigan’s Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative (MiBLSi) provides supports to schools implementing schoolwide behavior and reading programs. There is a limit to the number of applicants that get approved for the MiBLSi grant. To receive supports from the MiBLSi grant, districts are encouraged to partner with their Intermediate School Districts (ISDs).

Applicants are notified as potential partner with MiBLSi for district implementation
| Aug/Sept 2012 |
There will be a minimum of two initial meetings with potential partners who were accepted and MiBLSi staff. The purpose of these meetings is to clarify the work and expectations specific to MiBLSi and to each ISD/RESA. These meetings will ensure a good “fit” for the partnership and allow for mutual selection. Dates and times will be determined.

Local districts are encouraged to partner with ISDs. Local districts may decide to apply for participation without partnering with their ISD if the local district has the resources to support implementation (e.g., coaching, training, technical assistance). However, partnering with an ISD may be beneficial around supporting implementation efforts and promoting sustainability.
It is expected that a combination of ten Intermediate School Districts, Local Districts (without ISD partnership), or Charter Schools will be selected for participation with MiBLSi through this 2012-2013 application process.
